PRO — what upgrade unlocks
The free tier shows an ad banner at the bottom and limits a few features. The Upgrade button (sidebar / banner / Paywall screen) opens the app store (Google Play / App Store) with options:
- Subscriptions: 1 week, 1 / 3 / 6 / 12 months.
- One-time purchase — lifetime PRO.
PRO unlocks:
- Unlimited saved SSH connections.
- Full SFTP access (upload, download, edit).
- SSH key manager (generator, import, converter, migration).
- FIDO2 / YubiKey security keys.
- No ads — banner and interstitials are gone.
License status (trial / active / expired) is visible on the Paywall screen. After purchase the app persists the entitlement between sessions — no need to re-authenticate with the store.
Settings
Appearance
- Language — 32 UI languages; changes take effect immediately.
- UI theme — light / dark / system (the whole app, not the terminal).
- Landing page — the screen the app opens on: Home (default), SSH Connections, Local Terminal or Commander.
- Terminal font size — global default 8–32; per alias can be overridden via sidebar → Theme.
- Terminal theme — global default theme with a live preview; it applies to Quick Connect and any alias without its own pick, and per alias you can override it with any of the 435 built-in schemes (sidebar → Theme).
Terminal
- Output highlighting editor — regex patterns + colours.
- Snippets — manage reusable, parameterised commands.
- Connection timeout — 5–120 s.
- Wheel scroll speed — lines per single mouse-wheel tick.
- Resource monitoring (CPU/RAM/disk) — show live host vitals for SSH sessions, with a refresh interval of 5–300 s; this is the global default, each alias can override it.
- File log level — ERROR / WARN / INFO / DEBUG.
There is no session limit — open as many tabs as you like. Extra tabs to the same host are cheap: they reuse the live connection and only open a new channel, so there's no second login.
Keyboard
- Default keyboard — the input surface a freshly opened terminal starts with: Auto, DevOps or System.
- Keyboard layout — QWERTY / QWERTZ / AZERTY for the DevOps keyboard; Auto derives it from the app language.
- Keyboard opacity — background opacity of the DevOps keys.
- Keyboard key size — scales key height and label size.
- Show F-keys — keeps an F1–F10 row visible above the DevOps keyboard (handy for mc or htop).
Security
- SSH keys — generator, import, converter, migration between connections.
- Trusted hosts — known_hosts with fingerprints.
Privacy & data
- Share diagnostics (Android / iOS) — opt-in Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics.
- Privacy policy — document link.
- Ad preferences (Android / iOS) — where applicable.
Configuration
- Encrypted backup export / import.
~/.ssh/configimport (Desktop).- User files (Desktop):
~/.dr-terminal/stores settings (including saved connections), encrypted credentials, the local database and logs. The window remembers its last size and position; it centres on the primary screen only on first launch or when the saved position would be off-screen.

Reporting issues
Logs live in ~/.dr-terminal/logs/ (Desktop/Linux/macOS) or inside the app's data directory on Android/iOS. Bump file log level to DEBUG before reproducing a bug, and attach the log to the report.
